The advertised modes answer different questions

Video playback isolates a particular kind of workload. Typical use combines activities and, in Apple’s stated test, balances use between the displays. Neither is a precise model of a day dominated by navigation, weak cellular signal, gaming or camera work.

Do not compare a competitor’s streaming result with Duo’s local-video figure as if the protocols were identical. A battery comparison is meaningful only when the workload and conditions are comparable.

Plan a charging routine around your actual day

Consider how long you are away from power, whether you can charge during a commute and how often you need the larger screen for sustained work. A compatible charger you can actually use may be more valuable than choosing a phone from a maximum-duration headline.

• Separate inner-screen work from brief outer-screen checks.
• Keep network conditions and screen brightness in mind.
• Carry an appropriate charging setup when reliability matters.

What is not a battery-drain diagnosis
