How to Transfer an eSIM to Pixel 11
During setup or from Settings, transfer an eSIM only when your carrier offers the option; otherwise use its QR code, app, activation code, or support channel.
Choose onboarding or Settings
These steps use Google’s current general Pixel eSIM guidance unless Google documents a Pixel 11 difference. Carrier support controls whether transfer is automatic and which activation method appears.
During onboarding, keep the old phone nearby, choose the SIM offered for transfer, tap Transfer and Activate, then follow the on-screen carrier instructions. If automatic transfer is not detected or you skip it, use Settings later.
Transfer from Settings
Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add SIM → Transfer SIM from another deviceSelect the eligible line and complete the approvals shown on the old and new phones. Wording can vary with the carrier and software.
Requirements for automatic transfer
Where Google’s automatic transfer requirements apply, both the current and new devices need Android 12 or later, the current version of Google Play services, and a screen lock. Carrier participation is still required. A failed transfer does not necessarily disable the existing device or eSIM.
Transfer from iPhone
iPhone-to-Pixel eSIM transfer depends on carrier support. If the transfer is not offered, use the carrier’s documented path instead of treating the missing option as a Pixel 11 defect.
Other carrier activation methods
The carrier may provide a QR code, its mobile app or website, a manual activation code, or account-assisted activation. Use only a current code issued for the correct line and device, and keep the old service available until the new line is active.
If activation keeps failing
Retry the offered transfer after confirming the requirements and any approval on the old phone. For persistent failure, contact your carrier for activation, eligibility, account verification, a replacement QR code, or the correct manual process. Do not delete a working eSIM as a routine troubleshooting step.
