How to Use Quick Share With iPhone on Galaxy Z Fold8

Turn on Share with Apple devices

Make the Apple device discoverable

Send from Galaxy to Apple

On the Fold8, open the photo, video, or file, tap Share, then Quick Share, and select the discoverable Apple device. The recipient must accept the incoming file. Start with one ordinary file if you are checking the connection.

Receive on Galaxy

Open the Quick Share receiving screen on the Fold8, or temporarily set its receiving visibility to Everyone (Only for 10 minutes). On the Apple device, use AirDrop, select the Fold8, then accept the file on the Galaxy when prompted.

If the Apple device does not appear

Confirm Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are on and move the devices within Bluetooth distance. Reopen the temporary visibility window on the receiving device. Turn off a mobile hotspot and end an active Wi-Fi Direct session while testing so those connections do not compete with sharing. Then close and reopen Quick Share, restart both devices, and install current software and service updates.

Why Wi-Fi can disconnect temporarily

Samsung warns that a Galaxy phone may temporarily disconnect from a Wi-Fi network while it searches for or shares with an iOS device. Keep both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled and let the sharing flow manage the connection; reconnect to the usual Wi-Fi network after the transfer if it does not return automatically.
