Three dates, three different meanings

The announcement establishes the product and its advertised features. Preorder is the point when an eligible customer can submit an order. Availability is the planned start of retail fulfillment in the stated market. Treating these as interchangeable can lead to booking travel, arranging a trade-in or selling your current phone too early.

Apple also lists a later wave for additional markets. We do not infer which market belongs to that wave from a language setting or an imported store page. Use the store for the country where you will buy.

Plan around your order confirmation

Before arranging a trade-in handover, check the shipping or pickup estimate attached to your actual order. A product-level launch banner does not show stock for every capacity, finish or delivery address. Keep your existing phone operational until the new phone is activated and its contents have been checked.

• Confirm your market and local preorder time.
• Keep a current backup and an accessible account sign-in method.
• Recheck delivery when choosing a configuration, not only on the product page.

What can change before launch

Regulatory approval, carrier readiness and fulfillment can affect a particular market independently. We do not turn a planned date into a claim of live stock. The date registry will change only when the official source changes, and the source check will remain visible.
